Dear Friends:
As 2018 winds down, I want to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for all of the love and solidarity you have brought me in support of Waging Justice: A Doctor’s Journey to Speak Truth and Be Bold. THANK YOU!
I appreciate the hard work and support from everyone who helped arrange Waging Justice launch events in D.C and six states (California, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia) at an array of religious venues, bookstores, home book clubs, academic institutions, and non-profits. I’m grateful also for the many opportunities I’ve had to share my ideas and my vision more widely through blogs, social media, print news, and radio interviews. I am humbled by the favorable reviews from readers and from experts at Kirkus Reviews, Conscience Magazine and the Advocate.
This author experience has been an amazing journey over these past four months. I have been deeply touched by Waging Justice readers who tell me how my stories are enriching their lives with optimism and courage. “Your vulnerability helped me be more vulnerable with myself,” said one, and my heart soared. I am learning so much from readers about how vulnerability plus truth can unleash inner healing and power, which in turn opens gateways for courageous action to usher in a more just and peaceful world.
As I write this, I’m working on ways to share and fully unleash what I call “SIPO”—my own self-imposed persistent optimism—to overcome cynicism and despair about what is actually possible in light of the utter turmoil of today. I’m learning that an alchemy of clear-eyed optimism mixed with courage can fuel anyone’s drive to pursue justice for all, no matter the odds.
I strongly believe that if we join forces, we can do it all: restore the climate, transition to 100% clean and renewable energy, end child sexual abuse and incest, end poverty, end AIDS, achieve universal health care and dramatically accelerate progress to achieve racial and gender justice—in our time!
Stand by for some exciting new Waging Justice offerings and happenings in early 2019 that I hope will catalyze efforts to “Build the Movement” forward. And anyone can join in!
I wish you and your loved ones happy holidays and a joyous, optimistic New Year.
Let’s make the impossible possible!
Yours in peace and solidarity,
Dr. Paul Zeitz
It is perfect time to make a few plans for the long run and it’s time to be happy. I’ve read this post and if I may I want to counsel you few interesting things or tips. Maybe you could write next articles relating to this article. I want to learn more issues about it!
Why users still use to read news papers when in this technological
globe the whole thing is existing on net?
You’re so interesting! I do not think I’ve read something like that before.
So nice to find another person with a few genuine thoughts on this topic.
Seriously.. many thanks for starting this up. This web site is something that is needed on the web, someone with a little originality!
