White Pine Journal conducted an interview with Dr. Paul Zeitz, founder and director of “Build a Movement 2020” ─ an organization dedicated to bringing sustainability into the mainstream.
According to Dr. Zeitz, the sustainable development movement is disjointed at best, and lacking the cohesion and synergy required in order to bring about massive change. Build a Movement 2020’s mission is to coordinate all facets of sustainability, with a heavy emphasis on carbon dioxide reduction by vastly increasing renewable energy production, worldwide. This includes networking with businesses, local, state, and federal governments, financial institutions, media, organizations… Build a Movement would be the common thread that links them all together while retaining their autonomy. This is somewhat like a business joint venture, where two or more companies combine their respective resources and knowledge for greater efficiency, market share, and influence.
