Inter-American Court of Human Rights to Hear Landmark Case on Sexual Violence Against Adolescent Girls
What: Press Briefing on the Case of Brisa De Angulo Losada v. Bolivia at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights On March 29-30, 2022, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights will hear the groundbreaking case of Brisa De Angulo Losada v. Bolivia (Case No. CDH 10-2020). Brisa was repeatedly raped and tortured by an adult family member in 2002 in Bolivia. When she sought justice and support from the Bolivian government, not only did the judicial system fail her (and continues to fail her), but it also violated her international human rights, cementing the culture of impunity.
